I have a memory, one summer, of a vulture sitting on my head . I was a bit freaked out.
Neither of us enjoyed the experience, I know for sure that I was petrified. This is an ‘hommage’ to that bird.
While I love birds and can admire their beauty at a distance, I’m not very happy with them up close – it’s a fluttery feathery thing.
I think having seen our family cats catch fledglings, all the frantic flapping, when I was a child, has made it difficult to be up close to them.
( No hard feelings bird friend. You were a true and noble vulture.)
